During the review, the Cyber Security Bureau Director and senior officials briefed the DGP on the state’s cybercrime landscape, emerging trends, technology adoption, and ongoing investigation strategies.

He also inspected the Cyber Lab, Security Operations Centre, Digital Forensic Unit, and an AI powered Cyber Call Centre.

The DGP observed that the AI enabled Cyber Call Centre can interact with cybercrime victims, collect critical information, and instantly alert the jurisdictional police station. He said such technology improves response time and strengthens citizen assistance.

According to official data for 2025, Telangana recorded encouraging progress in several areas.

Cybercrime complaints declined by 3 percent, while financial losses dropped by nearly 20 percent compared to the previous year. In addition, authorities froze ₹279 crore linked to cyber fraud during the year.
