Hyderabad, July 22: A parked ambulance was severely damaged after a large tree collapsed on it near Niloufer Hospital in Nampally during the early hours of Tuesday. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The tree fell onto the stationary ambulance around midnight, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. As no one was inside the ambulance at the time, there was no loss of life.
After receiving information, Nampally police and the GHMC Monsoon Emergency Team reached the spot and launched a clearance operation.
Officials used heavy equipment to remove the fallen tree. Traffic in the area, which was briefly disrupted, was restored after the tree was cleared.
Police and GHMC officials have advised citizens to remain cautious during heavy rain and strong winds, as adverse weather may increase the risk of falling trees and other hazards.
