KTR visited the temple and sought the blessings of Goddess Mahankali amid large-scale Bonalu celebrations. He was accompanied by BRSLP Deputy Floor Leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav, former Minister and MLA G. Jagadish Reddy, and Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh.
Speaking to the media after offering prayers, KTR said the people of Hyderabad and Secunderabad were celebrating Bonalu with great devotion and enthusiasm.
The BRS leader recalled that the previous BRS government had declared Bonalu an official State festival and provided financial assistance to temple committees for organising the celebrations.
KTR also highlighted the development of the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadadri, stating that the BRS government undertook the temple redevelopment project at a cost of ₹1,800 crore.
He said he prayed to Goddess Mahankali for abundant rainfall, the well-being of the people, and prosperity for farmers across Telangana.
The Bonalu festival, one of Telangana’s most significant cultural and religious celebrations, has drawn lakhs of devotees to the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple and other temples across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
