Hyderabad, August 29: Bank customers must check the holiday schedule before visiting branches next week. Banks will remain closed on two days between August 31 and September 6, 2026.

According to the RBI holiday calendar, the first closure next week falls on Friday, September 4. Banks in several cities will stay shut for Janmashtami and Krishna Jayanthi.
Moreover, Sunday, September 6, is a nationwide weekly bank holiday. All branches across India remain closed every Sunday.
Additionally, the September 4 holiday applies to bank branches in these cities: Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vijayawada.
Customers in these cities must complete branch work before or after the holiday.
