Hyderabad, Sept. 17: BRS working president K T Rama Rao challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to order a judicial probe into the assets of both families.
KTR sought an inquiry by a sitting High Court or Supreme Court judge into their properties from 1954 to date.
He said the BRS was ready to face scrutiny and answer allegations against its leaders.
KTR made the remarks while responding to allegations raised by Revanth Reddy against former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his family.
KTR Questions Revanth Reddy Over Assets and 22A Lands
KTR said Revanth Reddy had referred to KCR having 67 acres of land.
He said these details were already disclosed in election affidavits and demanded that the Chief Minister apologise to KCR.
KTR also questioned the acquisition of properties by Revanth Reddy and his family members.
He alleged that the Chief Minister’s family had established defence and aerospace companies after Revanth Reddy came to power.
KTR challenged Revanth Reddy to subject his family’s properties to the same scrutiny.
These claims were made by KTR and have not been established as wrongdoing.
KTR also raised questions over the Section 22A prohibited land list.
He questioned why Revanth Reddy’s residence was removed from the prohibited list while other property owners continued to face registration problems.
The 22A issue has triggered a wider political dispute between the Congress government and Opposition parties.
The state government has announced committees and new policies to address different categories of properties included in the prohibited list.
Revanth Reddy has also ordered a probe into land holdings associated with KCR’s farmhouse.
The Chief Minister directed officials to determine the extent of land involved and investigate allegations concerning assigned land.
KTR further criticised the suspension of BRS legislators from the Assembly.
He said BRS MLAs would return to the House if their suspension was lifted.
He also demanded a longer Assembly session to discuss the allegations and government policies.
The BRS leader said his party was prepared to answer allegations against its leaders and raise its own questions in the Assembly.
