Smart Parking, EV Charging Launched At Metro Stations

Hyderabad, May 20 (Maxim News): Municipal Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar and Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy launched Smart Parking and EV Charging facilities at Metro stations. They launched the facility at Begumpet Metro Station. Speaking on the occasion Arvind said that charging of a car will be completed in one hour. This charging is free now and will collect amount later he said. Several charging points will come up in the city in phases. He also informed that the plan is to encourage green vehicles to avoid fuel ones against the growing pollution he said.

NVS Reddy said that the parking and charging facilities are being made available at 24 places. Through a special application the parking can be available by booking a slot. Park Hyderabad Mobile app is used for the purpose he said. The Metro Rail chief also said that to reduce pollution problem green vehicles are being encouraged. We will charge Rs 2 per 1 km through electric charging. (Maxim News)
