TADJAC Calls Auto Bandh” On Dec 5 For Dry Law
Hyderabad, Nov.26 (Maxim News): Telangana Auto Drivers JAC has announced that Auto Drivers in the twin cities would observe “Auto Bandh” on December 5 demanding enforcement of total prohibition in the State.
In a statement here today, JAC convener Md Amanullah Khan has given “Sharab Hatao, Telangana Bachao” slogan and alleged that drunk driving was the main reason for the increasing number of road accidents and crimes. Instead of achieving “Bangaru Telangana”, the Chief Minister turned the State into “Drunkards Telangana State”. He also demanded that KCR also grant Rs. 10,000 to each auto towards third party auto annual insurance charges and auto repairs like his AP counterpart Jagan.
He demanded that KCR apologies to the auto drivers for not increasing the auto fares for the last six years. He also demanded that KCR extend apologies to auto drivers for continuing the restriction imposed on the issue of new auto permits and indirectly forcing the drivers to purchase new auto for Rs 3,45,000 in blackmarket instead of Rs 1,80,000 showroom rate. Khan said the RTC employees and auto drivers played a key role in the Telangana movement and achieving statehood. “It is unfortunate that they are now suffering in the separate statehood with the “adamant” attitude of the Chief Minister.
