Amaravati, May 22 (Maxi News): In a sensational verdict, AP high court ordered CBI inquiry into controversial Dr. Sudhakar harassment and his subsequent arrest issue. It asked the CBI to book a case against accused police and investigate the matter. It also asked the CBI to submit its report within 8 weeks time.
The High Court passed the orders while responding to a letter written by Telugu Mahila president Anitha. In her letter, she alleged that the police had misbehaved with the medical doctor. She also alleged that the body of the doctor also had injuries on them. The High Court took suo moto cognisance of the case and issued notices to the state government. It initially issued orders to a local sessions judge to visit the hospital and record the statement of the victim at the hospital.
The High Court took the statement of the victim into consideration and issued orders for CBI inquiry into the issue. The police arrested the doctor at port hospital after they received a call that the doctor was creating nuisance on the National Highway. They booked a case under sections 353 and 427 of IPC against him. The doctor was suspended from service after he made sensational allegations against the state government. (Maxim News)
