I Will Work Impartially: Ramesh Kumar
Amaravati, May 29 (Maxim News): Former State Election Commissioner Ramesh Kumar said he returned to his post following order of apex court of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons after the judgment of the court, he said that he would resume the local body election conduct process once everything stabilized in the state. He made it clear that he would work in an impartial manner as he worked in the past. Kumar also said that he would soon hold a meeting with the representatives of all political parties on the conduct of the elections. Making it clear that individuals are not permanent, he said that the constitutional bodies and their values would be permanent in the country.
Kumar was appointed as the state election commissioner on January 30, 2016 by the then government of the state ESL Narasimhan for a period of five years. He took charge as the commissioner on April 1,2016. His term would expire in March 2021. (Maxim News)
