BRAOU Organised PV Narasimha Rao Memorial Lecture
Hyderabad, July 1 (Maxim News): B R Ambedkar Open University organized former Prime Minister P.V.Narasimha Rao Memorial Lecture as part of Centenary year at its campus on Thursday here.
Prof.CSR Murthy (Retd), Professor, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi), delivered a lecture on “PV’s Views on World Problems at UN”. Prof. Murthy stressed that It was but natural that Rao viewed the UN as Humanity beacon of hope in this understanding the united nations can be truly and effectively the global repository of human kinds aspiration. Multilateralism today has to deal with a new generation of problems arising from the rapid changes in the patterns of production consumption and trade – all a result of the technological revolution. Rao had strong views about democratic countries tendency to sacrifice international obligation and surrendered international pressures. His words would have perfect relevance todays’s Corona pandemic context. This helplessness would in fact detract from the credibility of democratic system its self in international relations.
Guest of Honor Surabhi Vani Devi, MLC, also attended the program. She was enlighted that PV’s Technological aspects and maintaining relations with global arena and also she suggested Academicians to plan the new education system using technology to save the students bright future.
Prof K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BRAOU presided over the program, Prof. Rao explained about the importance of memorial lectures, the university regularly conducts memorial lectures with the aim of providing the life stories of Telangana Intellectuals and their services to the society for future generations.
Prof. E. Sudha Rani, Director I/c (Academic), Dr. BRAOU was welcome and introduced about the program and proposed the vote of thanks. The webinar program was attended by the Directors, Deans, Heads of the branches Teaching and Non-teaching Staff members.
Earlier the chief guest Prof.CSR Murthy, Prof. K. Seetharama Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Prof E. Sudha Rani, Director (Academic), Directors, Heads of the Branches, Deans, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff members and representatives of service associations garlanded the portrait of .P.V.Narasimha Rao and offered rich floral tributes.
