Azharuddin | Hyderabad, June 17 (Maxim News): Telangana Minister for Minority Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammed Azharuddin on Wednesday visited several historic Ashur Khanas in Hyderabad’s Old City, offered Ziyarat and reviewed development works and arrangements being made for the community ahead of upcoming religious observances.
The Minister inspected Bibi’s Ashur Khana, Ashur Khana Khidmat-e-Rasool, Azakhana-e-Tashreehat, Bashiyyah Ashur Khana and other prominent religious institutions. He reviewed the progress of restoration and development works and directed officials to ensure their timely completion while preserving the historical, religious and cultural heritage of these sacred sites.
Speaking to the scribes, Azharuddin said the Telangana government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, remains committed to the welfare, dignity and progress of minority communities across the State. He said the Chief Minister believes that the development of minorities is an integral part of Telangana’s overall growth and has consistently supported initiatives aimed at improving welfare and preserving religious heritage.
Azharuddin | Government Ensures Facilities for Devotees
The Minister said the government has made elaborate arrangements for devotees attending the religious gatherings. He informed that four days of food distribution have been organized for participants and visitors during the observances.
Considering the prevailing summer conditions, Azharuddin reviewed facilities such as coolers, drinking water, sanitation, lighting and other essential amenities. He instructed officials to remain available round the clock and ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience.
He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed all concerned departments to strengthen welfare measures, preserve religious institutions and extend every possible support during important religious occasions. According to the Minister, the government’s vision is to build a Telangana where every citizen feels secure, respected and included in the development process.
Azharuddin also emphasized the importance of protecting religious heritage while improving infrastructure at historic Ashur Khanas. He directed officials to complete all pending works without compromising the architectural and cultural significance of the sites.
Minority Welfare and Inclusive Development

The Minister stated that the Muslim community appreciates the government’s proactive approach towards minority welfare and inclusive development. He said the administration has taken several measures to improve facilities for minorities and ensure equal opportunities in education, employment and social welfare.
Members of the community thanked the Minister for personally monitoring the arrangements and taking a keen interest in ensuring that all facilities are provided smoothly. They appreciated the government’s efforts to preserve religious heritage and facilitate the observances.
Azharuddin reiterated that the Telangana government remains steadfast in its commitment to minority welfare, communal harmony and inclusive development. He said the administration will continue to work towards preserving religious institutions while ensuring that all communities receive the support and facilities they require.
