CM announces 6 MLC candidates file nominations

Hyderabad, Nov.16 (Maxi mNews): TRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced the names of new MLC candidates of the party. The MLC candidates are Telangana State Legislative Council former Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, former MLC Kadiyam Srihari, Thakkellapalli Ravinder Rao, former IAS officer P. Venkatrami Reddy, P Kaushik Reddy and Banda Prakash who is an MP of Rajya Sabha.

Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Kadiam Srihari were retained by the Chief Minister this time for the MLC posts. The remaining four are new persons picked up by the party president including former collector of Siddipet Venktramai Reddy who joined the party fold. KCR conducted a meeting with the leaders on the occasion.

The new MLC Candidates have filed their nominations at the Assembly to the officials concerned. Ministers KT Rama Rao, Harish Rao and others attended the program. The MLC candidates earlier met with the chief minister at Telangana Bhavan. They extended thanks to the party boss for offering them the chance for the MLC posts.

The election notification was released on November 9. The polling will be held from 9 am to 4 pm on November 29, followed by counting of votes from 5 pm onwards and the results will be announced immediately .The TRS has 110 seats of MLAs with 7 seats of its ally AIMIM and will easily win the six seats. The chief minster congratulated the new MLC candidates of the posts. Some of the MLC posts are vacant and the elections are to be held as per a notification issued by the election commission amid corona protocols. (Maxim News)
