Interstate Cricket Betting Racket Busted, 3 Arrested

Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): Sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Chatrinaka Police busted Interstate Cricket Betting Racket and apprehended three accused persons. They also seized a net cash of Rs 2,10,000 and three Cell Phones at the instance of accused.

The accused were identified as Jayesh Rawath, 29 of Boggulakunta and native of Rajasthan State, J. Rahul, 30 yrs, of Uppuguda, and T. Nikil, 31 yrs, of Chatrinaka, Hyderabad.

Chakravarthy Gummi, DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad said prime accused Jayesh Rawath was doing pearls business in the City. Due to financial problems, he planned to earn easy money by doing IPL Cricket Betting and Prakash and Monu of Rajasthan State and purchased an online Cricket Betting App “saphire.com” for which they provided Log in ID and Password of said App.

On a tip-off on Tuesday that the accused were collecting huge betting amounts from punters near Chatrinaka Janda in connection with IPL Cricket Match between GT Vs PBKS Teams, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, Hyderabad along with Chatrinaka Police rushed to the spot and apprehended the accused persons and seized a cash of Rs 2,10,000 and three Cell phones at the instance of the accused persons.

The arrests were made by S. Raghavendra, Inspector, South Zone and sub-inspectors N. Srishylam, V. Narender, K. Narsimulu, P Seenaiah of South Zone Task Force, Hyderabad City, along with Chatrinaka Police, Hyderabad. (Maxim News)
