Hyderabad, June 9 (Maxim News): Another by-election in the Hyderabad city became inevitable with the death of Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath.
Lasya Nandita, who had won from the Cantonment constituency of BRS in the assembly elections held on November 30, 2023 died in a car accident on February 23, 2024, Lasya Nandita’s sister Nivedita, who contested from BRS in the election, faced defeat.
It is known that Lasya Nandita entered politics as the successor of senior leader G.Sayanna after his death. Narayan Sriganesh who contested from Congress, won the by-election held in May after her death.
Recently, with the death of Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath, a situation arose where another by-election had to be held. The by-election was to be held within six months after the MLA seat fell vacant. Two by-elections were held within two years after the assembly elections. (Maxim News)
