Hyderabad, May 12 (Maxim News) : AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said the law will take its own course in the case registered against Bandi Bhagirath.
Reacting to the controversy surrounding Bandi Bhagirath, son of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Owaisi said police had already registered a case and the investigation was underway.
He also stated that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had assured action in the matter.
SIT Formed for Investigation
Owaisi further said the Telangana government constituted a Special Investigation Team to probe the case, SIT is functioning under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Ritiraj Gaikwad.
The remarks come amid ongoing political attention over the case registered against Bandi Bhagirath under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Meanwhile, the investigation is continuing and police officials are expected to gather further evidence as part of the probe. The case has triggered widespread political debate in Telangana, with leaders from different parties closely monitoring developments.
Earlier, Bandi Bhagirath approached the Telangana High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the case. He reportedly claimed that the allegations against him were false and politically motivated.
The Telangana High Court is expected to hear arguments from both sides before issuing further directions on the bail plea. (Maxim News)
