Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 16: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his eighth death anniversary on Sunday.
The leaders remembered Vajpayee’s contributions and services to the nation through posts on X.
Prime Minister Modi described Vajpayee as an exceptional statesman who dedicated his life to serving the country.
He praised Vajpayee’s vision and said his words and efforts had inspired generations.
Modi said Vajpayee’s leadership contributed significantly to strengthening the country.
Murmu Pays Tribute At Sadaiva Atal
The Prime Minister said Vajpayee’s vision of good governance and public welfare would continue to serve as a guiding light.
President Droupadi Murmu also paid tribute to the former Prime Minister.
She visited the Sadaiva Atal memorial in New Delhi and laid floral tributes at his samadhi.
The President recalled Vajpayee’s contributions to the nation and honoured his legacy.
