Awareness Walk on occasion of World Diabetes Day Celebrated at Charminar

In order to raise awareness on the importance of World Diabetes Day, CARE Group of Hospitals, organized a Awareness Walk at Charminar in this program CARE Hospitals, Nampally & CARE Hospitals, Malakpet participated . The program was Attended by Mr.Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri,MLA-Yakutpura, Mr.Syed Anwal ul Huda,IPS (Retd) Former DGP-Andhra Pradesh,Mr.Syed Sohail Quadri-Corporator Pathargatti, Dr.Shaista Hussaini,Consultant Nephrologist, Dr.Faraz Farishta Consultant Endocrinologist, Dr.Ataullah Consultant Int-Medicine, Dr.Goverdhan Consultant Int-Med,Dr.Aman Salwan Consultant Cardiologist, Dr.Amrender Singh Consultant CT Surgeon , Mr.Syed Kamran Husain.,HCOO CARE Hospitals,Nampally & Malakpet & Dr.Navin Chand Medical Superintendent.

Elaborating on the importance of routine Diabetes screenings, Mr. Syed Kamran Husain, HCOO-CARE Hospitals, Nampally & Malakpet said, “CARE Hospitals have always been going the extra mile to increase the awareness about the importance of Diabetes care among the general public. This world Diabetes day, we urge you to begin your journey towards a healthy life by ensuring routine screenings and appropriate care.”

About half of people who have diabetes do not know they have diabetes. Therefore, you need to check your blood sugar level as part of your general body checkup. This is especially important for those who are approaching middle age or older. About half of people who have diabetes develop kidney damage; but this can be prevented/ limited if the diabetes is well controlled. Check your kidney function regularly with blood and urine tests said Mr.Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri MLA-Yakutpura.

A diabetes diet should be high on fibre, must contain milk without cream, buttermilk, fresh seasonal fruits, green vegetables, etc.” But remember to consume these components in moderation said Mr.Syed Anwar ul Huda IPS (Retd) Former DGP Andhra Pradesh.

The main objective of such awareness talks is to raise awareness among people that a simple 45-minute walk is enough to promote a healthy lifestyle. A stressful life can prove fatal so one must engage in healthy practices and having regular simple walks added by Mr.Syed Sohail Quadri, Corporator Pathergathi.
