BC Committee’s Plea To National BC Comm

Hyderabad, July 9 (Maxim News): BC rights Sadhana committee has submitted a request letter to the National BC commission here on Tuesday, urging it to recommend to the central government to allocate Rs. 60,000 crores in the Union budget for welfare and development of BC’s. BC commission members who are on a visit to the city are: Chairman Bhagwan Lal Sahni, Vice chairman Dr. Lokesh kumar and members Talloju Achary, Kaushalendra Singh, Sudha Yadav.

Association general secretary R Pandurangam, advisor T Venkatramulu said in a press note that they have requested the commission to recommend a ministry for BCs in central government, an Act for protection of BCs, similar to SC/ST atrocities Act, and reservations in private organizations. They wanted the commission to order the state government to conduct municipal elections only after reviving 34% BC reservation. The commission should order the central, state governments to implement schemes for BCs development in education, employment, economic and political fields. They said that if central and state government failed to solve the problems of BCs, the BCs should be prepared to wage a united fight raising beyond political ideologies.

The association vice presidents Lodangi Shravan Kumar, B Ramulu Yadav, members Venkat swamy, Madhusudhana Chary were also present, while presenting the letter to the commission . (Maxim News)
