Bhatti Goes On 36-Hr Deeklsha Against Merger Of CLP Into TRS

Hyderabad, June 8 (Maxim News): The Congress party on Saturday launched Satyagraha Deeksha at dharna chowk in Indira park here protesting the decision of the Speaker of the State Assembly to merge the CLP into ruling TRS party.

The 36-hour long Deeksha was launched by former CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. The AICC State incharge RC Kuntia, senior Congress leaders K. Jana Reddy, Shabbir Ali, V. Hanumantha Rao, party MLAs D Sridhar Babu, Seetakka, MLC T. Jeevan Reddy and others were present. TJS leader Kodandaram and TDP leader R. Chandrasekhar came to the deeksha venue and extended their solidarity with the Congress party leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, AICC state incharge RC Kuntia said that the CLP merger was done by the Assembly Speaker illegally. He wondered as to how the Speaker would merge the CLP when cases related to the defection of the party MLAs was pending in State High Court. He alleged that CM KCR resorted to the illegal and immoral acts as he did not want a Dalit to continue as CLP leader.

He said KCR was scared of Bhatti Vikramarka as he cornered the CM on several occasions in the house. He alleged the assembly speaker violated the existing rules related to ant-defection laws. He also said that the meeting of CLP would not be valid as it was held without obtaining permission from the PCC president.

Former minister and MLA Sridhar Babu alleged that the CM was trying to buying the Congress party MLAs despite the fact that the people of the State had given KCR an opportunity to serve them. He said that they would fight against the attitude of CM KCR in the days to come and made it clear that they would not keep mum on any anti-people policieso of the state government. (Maxim News)
