This is the first time Union Minister Bandi Sanjay reacted to the decision.

The BJP leader said the party had been demanding a CBI investigation for a long time. “From the beginning, we said there was massive corruption in the Kaleshwaram project,” Sanjay wrote in an X post.

He alleged that the Congress government delayed action to protect BRS. “Finally, the truth has come out. The Congress had no option but to hand over the case to the CBI,” he said. Sanjay demanded that the state send an official letter to the CBI immediately.

CBI Probe Into Kaleshwaram | BRS Accused of Commissions and Irregularities:

Bandi Sanjay accused BRS of shifting the project location from Tummidihatti to Medigadda to earn huge commissions. He said the commission report clearly exposed the irregularities. BJP leaders had even walked out of the Assembly earlier, demanding a CBI probe before the Ghosh Commission inquiry.

He also criticized the government for failing to appoint a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the ORR toll tenders, despite making an announcement on the Assembly floor. “The phone tapping case is like a never-ending serial,” Sanjay added.

More Probes Likely:

The Union Minister hinted at more trouble for BRS. The Formula E race case and the Kaleshwaram project are now with the CBI.

Reports suggest that a SIT may soon investigate the ORR toll tender issue. Political leaders believe this could tighten the noose around KTR.
