CM KCR To Decide On Reopening Of Schools In State: Eatala

Speaking at a conference on ‘Safe Reopening of Schools’ organised by Private Healthcare and Infection Control-2020, Rajender said it’s not an easy decision to reopen schools and the Chief Minister will take a call on the issue after considering the developments.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will take a call at an appropriate time on the issue of reopening of schools in Telangana, Health Minister Eatala Rajender said on Friday.

Speaking at a conference on ‘Safe Reopening of Schools’ organised by Private Healthcare and Infection Control-2020, Rajender said it’s not an easy decision to reopen schools and the Chief Minister will take a call on the issue after considering the developments.

Members of Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA), who participated in the conference, said almost all the school managements in Telangana have taken necessary safety precautions and were ready to open school campuses for children.

“We have to take broader opinion from stakeholders on the issue of reopening of schools. There is also a need for organisations such as World Health Organisation (WHO) to come up with guidelines on school reopening. While cases of Covid have come down, there is always a chance of resurgence of fresh infections,” the Minister said.
