COVID-19: Telangana Records 502 Cases, 3 Deaths

Telangana witnessed a drop in coronavirus positive cases on Monday. About 502 fresh cases were reported taking the total tally to 2,70,318. While the death toll reached to 1,461 with three new deaths in the last 24 hours. The total recoveries in the state went up to 2,59,210 with 894 new recoveries in a single day.

At present, there are 9,627 active cases including 7,585 in home or institutional isolation. Between Sunday and Monday, around 46,597 tests were conducted including 20,502 on primary contacts and 5,591 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 502 samples came positive and the reports of 456 are awaited. So far, 55,00,058 tests have been conducted in the state.

The positive cases reported in the state include 101 from GHMC, 46 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 33 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 32 from Rangareddy, 30 from Khammam, 25 from Karimnagar, 24 from Warangal Urban, 23 from Nalgonda, 19 from Suryapet, 12 each from Sangareddy and Mulugu, 11 each from Peddapalli, Mancherial and Jagtial, 9 from Wanaparthy, 8 from Yadadri Bhongir, 7 each from Vikarabad, Warangal Rural, Nizamabad, 6 each from Mahabubnagar, Medak, Mahabubabad, Siddipet, Nirmal and Kamareddy, 4 each from Adilabad, Jangaon, Jogulamba Gadwal, 3 from Komarambheem Asifabad and zero cases from Narayanpet.
