Hyderabad, May 21:(Maxim News): Scammers are using the photo of Telangana DGP Ravigupta to commit cybercrimes. By setting DGP Ravigupta’s photo as a WhatsApp display picture, they are deceiving people.

In one incident, a businessman and his daughter received threatening WhatsApp calls, claiming they would be arrested in a drug case unless they paid Rs. 50,000. Suspicious of the demands, the businessman reported the incident to the CPS police.
Upon investigation, the police discovered that the WhatsApp call originated from a number with the Pakistan country code +92. (Maxim News)
