Hyderabad: A fire broke out in the Hyderabad Jaipur Express at Nampally Railway Station on Friday, triggering panic among passengers and railway staff.
The incident occurred in an air conditioned coach while the train was stationed at Platform 4. Thick smoke soon spread across the platform area, causing fear among passengers waiting inside the train.
Railway authorities immediately alerted emergency services after noticing the blaze.
Major Disaster Averted At Nampally Station
Three fire engines rushed to the spot and controlled the flames before the fire could spread to other coaches.
Officials confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. Passengers were safely evacuated from the affected coach and shifted to secure areas inside the station.

Railway staff and fire personnel carried out rescue and safety operations swiftly, helping avoid a major mishap at the busy railway station.
Preliminary reports suggest that an electrical short circuit could have caused the fire. However, railway officials said a detailed investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact reason behind the incident.
