NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: NTA Opens Correction Window For City Preferences

Hyderabad: The National Testing Agency has opened the correction window for the NEET UG 2026 re examination, allowing candidates to update their present address and revise their preferred exam cities.

The correction facility became active on May 15 and will remain open until May 21, 2026, till 11:50 pm on the official NEET website.

Candidates appearing for the re examination can select their first and second preferred exam cities during this period.

NEET UG Re-Exam Scheduled On June 21

According to the NTA, candidates who do not make any changes will retain their previously selected examination city.

Officials clarified that only present address details and examination city preferences can be modified during the correction window. No other personal details will be available for correction.

The agency also stated that no requests for changes will be accepted after the May 21 deadline.

In a major relief for students, the NTA confirmed that no fee will be charged for the correction process or the NEET UG 2026 re examination.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier announced the fee waiver following the cancellation of the original examination over paper leak allegations.

The NTA said exam city intimation slips, admit cards and related updates are expected to be released by June 14, 2026.

The NEET UG 2026 re examination is scheduled for June 21 from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The exam will be conducted in offline mode across 13 languages.
