GHMC Commissioner Directed Concerned Officials To Complete Drains Works Expeditiously

Hyderabad, May 30 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan has directed the officials to complete the drain works expeditiously without causing any inconvenience to the people during the monsoon season. On Friday, the drain works in Santosh Nagar Circle of Charminar Zone were inspected along with Yakutpur MLA Zafar Hussain and MLC Mirza Riaz ul Hasan Effendi.

On this occasion, the Commissioner inspected the Maulana Ka Chilla and Ganganagar drains. MLA Zafar Hussain explained to the Commissioner the problems faced by the people of many colonies due to the Maulana Ka Chilla and Ganganagar drains. Project EE B.L. Srinivas explained to the Commissioner that the repair work of Ganganagar drain is ongoing and 70 percent of the work has been completed so far. The Commissioner ordered the Project Officer to complete the remaining 30 percent of the work as soon as possible.

Since the Jalamandali pipeline is parallel to both sides of the Ganga Nagar Nala, the GHMC Maintenance Engineering Wing and Jalamandali officials have been instructed to clean it together. The need for construction of a drainage canal from Jahangir Nagar Colony to Maulana Ka Chilla Nala was explained to the Commissioner and the engineering officials were instructed to prepare proposals.

The Commissioner was accompanied by Jalmandali MD Ashok Reddy, Zonal Commissioner Venkanna, Zonal SE Maheshwara Reddy, Project EE B.L. Srinivas, Deputy Commissioner Mangatayaru, Pathargatti Corporator Sohel Mahmood Qadri, Dabir Pura Corporator Alamdar Hussain Khan, Rain Bazaar Corporator Vasa Uddin, Santosh Nagar Corporation Muzaffar Hussain, Talab Chanchalam Dr. Sameena Begum, Mughal Pura Corporator Nasreen Sultana, Kurmaguda Corporation Shafat Ali and others.
