Golconda’s First Bonalu On June 26th: Minister Issues Key Orders
Hyderabad, June 11 (Maxim News): Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the Ashada masam bonalu celebrations, which reflect the cultural traditions of Telangana, will begin on the 26th of this month with the first Bonam at Golconda.
A coordination meeting of officials regarding the Ashada Masam Bonala festival was held at Dr. MCR HRD in Jubilee Hills. Speaking along with Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, he said that the festivities will begin on June 26 with the first Bonam at the Golconda Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Temple.
Later, Balkampet, Yellamma Kalyanam will be held on July 1, Ujjayini Mahankali Bonala jatara on July 13, Rangam on July 14, Akkanna Madanna Bonala jatara and Lal Darwaja Bonala on July 20. The Bonala festival will end on July 24. The government is making all arrangements for the month-long Ashada month Bonala festival, he said. The state government has sanctioned Rs. 20 crore for the organization of Bonala. He instructed the officials to make elaborate arrangements so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience.
He said that the state government will present silk garlands to 28 major temples, in which ministers will participate, and in 19 temples, EOs and temple department officials will present silk garlands on behalf of the government. He directed the fire department officials to visit the temples first, prepare a plan, and make fire engines available. He said that the RTC should run additional buses. He said that there will be cultural programs and performances by 700 artists. (Maxim News)
