Komaram Bheem Asifabad, August 9: Unidentified persons stole gold ornaments worth around Rs 8 lakh from a jewellery store in Kagaznagar on Saturday night.
Police said the suspects broke the shop’s shutters around midnight and entered the premises. They then stole about four tolas of gold ornaments.
CCTV footage showed masked suspects carrying out the theft. However, the offenders could not take more jewellery because the remaining ornaments were locked in a separate room.
Police form teams to trace jewellery store thieves
Police reached the jewellery store after receiving information about the theft. They inspected the premises and collected clues from the scene.
Meanwhile, investigators examined CCTV footage from the store and nearby areas. They are also checking footage from other locations across Kagaznagar to identify the suspects.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation. Special teams are working to trace the offenders and recover the stolen gold ornaments.
The investigation is continuing, and police are yet to disclose the identities of the suspects.
