High Court Adjourns Hearing On Local Body Elections On Nov 24

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (Maxim News) :The Telangana High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing on the petition related to the suspension of the local body elections notification to November 24.

The case concerns the State Election Commission’s (SEC) decision issued on October 9 to suspend the notification for conducting local body elections across the state.

Advocate Surender,  filed the petition challenging the SEC’s suspension order. During the latest hearing, the division bench made key observations and sought clarity from both the Telangana government and the SEC on when the local body elections would be held.

The government’s counsel requested additional time to present its stance before the bench. Meanwhile, the SEC informed the court that it was fully prepared to conduct the elections once the necessary approvals were granted.

Following the submissions, the bench postponed further hearing of the case to November 24 for continuation of arguments. (Maxim News)
