High-Level Committee Formed On Illegal Construction Of Buildings In City

Hyderabad, Jan 20 (Maxim News): Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries, Talasani Srinivas Yadav has informed that a high-level committee has been formed on the illegal construction of building in the city of Hyderabad and the committee will be meeting on January 25.

MP Badugula Lingaya Yadav along with MLA Mutha Gopal spoke to the media persons and said that the fire could not be controlled quickly due to the presence of chemicals in the building where the accident occurred. It was explained that adequate measures have been taken to prevent the fire from spreading to the neighboring basti. There may be up to 25 thousand buildings like the one that caught fire yesterday in the city of Hyderabad. He said that it is not possible to remove illegal structures overnight. He said that a high-level committee has been formed on what should be done in the matter of illegal constructions.

He said that the committee headed by NIT will soon submit its report on the quality of the building where the accident occurred. Further action will be taken based on that report. He said that an all-party meeting will be held on what should be done in the matter of illegal constructions.

He criticized Union Minister Kishan Reddy for talking irresponsibly about the accident saying that illegal constructions have been allowed after taking bribes. He said that not a single building was regularized during the tenure of the Telangana government, he said that Kishan Reddy did not know that there was a court stay on the building regularization scheme.

He criticized that Kishan Reddy did not bring a single paisa to Hyderabad. 180 people died in a bridge collapse in Gujarat too. He said that he did not do politics like Kishan Reddy. He asked that 65 thousand crores of rupees have been allocated for the development of Hyderabad in the last eight years and whether such a development has ever taken place in the past.

He reminded that in all the accidents that happened in the past, compensation has been given to the victims. He said that if people from Bihar died in an accident here, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao himself went to that state and gave exgratia checks. (Maxim News)
