Hyderabad Heavy Rains Likely As IMD Issues Yellow Alert

Hyderabad, April 19: Hyderabad heavy rains are likely today as the India Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for the next three days.

The alert comes after days of intense summer heat across the city and other parts of Telangana. While rains are expected in the evening, temperatures may remain high until afternoon.

Hyderabad Heavy Rains Alert Amid Heatwave Conditions

According to forecasts, daytime temperatures may still touch 41 to 42 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad. Across Telangana, some districts could see temperatures nearing 45 degrees Celsius.

Weather observer T Balaji indicated that heat will persist until afternoon. However, conditions are likely to change later in the day.

The IMD has predicted thunderstorms across most districts until April 22. Along with heavy rains, there is a warning for lightning and squally winds.

In Hyderabad, hazy conditions may prevail during morning hours over the next few days. By evening, thunderstorms are expected to intensify and continue into the night.

Authorities have advised residents to plan travel carefully. Sudden weather changes, including rain and lightning, may affect evening movement across the city.
