Hyderabad Metro Rail | Jan 3: Hyderabad metro employees went on strike. They went on a strike demanding a salary hike. In this order, some employees boycotted their duties.

The contract employees working at the ticket counter of LB Nagar to Miyapur metro station are protesting. They are concerned that there has been no increase in salaries for 5 years.

The company has been giving them only 11 thousand rupees salary for 5 years. They are demanding to increase in their salary from 15 thousand to 18 thousand rupees.

Due to this, passengers have queued up for tickets at Ameerpet and Miyapur metro stations.

About 150 people went on strike at various stations demanding a salary increase. They are alleging that for five years they have not received any increase in their salaries.

Only the employees working at the ticket counters are protesting. They allege that duties are not properly timed and no one cares if the reliever does not arrive on time. They complain that they don’t even get time to eat.

However, the metro services were not disrupted even though the employees protested at the ticket counters. The management started negotiations with them.
