As part of his tour of the northeastern states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched various development projects worth thousands of crores in Darrang district of Assam on Sunday. Prime Minister Modi spoke at a public meeting organized afterwards. “If I speak like this, the congress will criticise me saying that Modi is targeting us. No matter how much they criticize me. I will not care. because I am a devotee of Shiva. I will wash away the poison of criticism. But I will not remain silent if they attack the people of the country. The people are my gods. If I do not express my pain in front of them, then I will do it in front of someone else. That is why they are my masters, my gods, my remote control. I have no other remote control, he clarified.

However, Prime Minister Modi’s remote control’ remarks in the Assam meeting once again sparked debate. Modi had earlier accused former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of being remotely controlled by the then UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Similarly, current Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also criticized the Gandhi family for being under remote control.

At that time, Modi reacted to the video and expressed his concern that it was not right for Congress to drag his mother Heeraben into politics. Recently, the Bihar Congress unit posted an AI video on social media. The video was aimed at Modi and his mother Heeraben, which caused a huge uproar.
