Internet/Hyderabad, May 27 (Maxim News): Those who hoped that peace talks would soon end the war in West Asia are facing disappointment. On the one hand, while peace talks were underway, the United States launched heavy attacks on the southern regions of Iran. This has suddenly heated up the situation in West Asia. The US military said that they carried out self-defense attacks on missile launch sites and boats laying mines in southern Iran.
Tensions between Israel and Lebanon have escalated again. At least 31 people, including several children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon, the Lebanese Health Ministry said. Israel carried out two airstrikes on Gaza in the middle of the night. Three Palestinians were killed and 12 were injured in these attacks.
International media reported that this was the largest attack since a ceasefire agreement was reached between the two countries in April. The Israeli military said that the attacks were carried out in response to rockets fired by Hezbollah militants into its border areas.
Hezbollah’s revenge
Hezbollah said its fighters had effectively confronted the Israeli forces. The armed group said that Hezbollah fighters had pushed back the Israeli forces advancing towards Jawhar al-Sharqiya after airstrikes and artillery fire.
