Hyderabad, April 28 (Maxim News): Leaders of journalist unions met Information and Public Relations Department Special Commissioner Mukunda Reddy on Monday after he assumed charge in the new role.
The delegation called on him at the State Secretariat and conveyed their greetings.
Those who attended included Hyderabad Union of Journalists President Shiga Shankar, Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation General Secretary Ghouse Mohiuddin, and Video Journalists Union President Vanam Nagaraju.
Journalist Raise Welfare and Media Issues
During the meeting, the leaders discussed journalist welfare, development of the media sector, and better coordination between media professionals and the Information Department.
They requested the department to extend positive support for resolving issues faced by journalists working across the state.
The union representatives said stronger cooperation between the government and media bodies would help address welfare matters quickly.
Mukunda Reddy reportedly assured them of constructive engagement on issues concerning the journalism community.
After the discussion, the leaders presented a bouquet to Mukunda Reddy and extended formal congratulations.
The meeting gains significance as journalist bodies continue to seek stronger welfare measures and institutional support in Telangana.
