KCR Should Resign As CM On HC Verdict Against RTC Privatization: CPI

Hyderabad, Nov.8 (Maxim News): CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana today demanded K Chandrasekhar Rao to quit Chief Minister post as the high court gave verdict against his cabinet decision to privatize RTC routes in the state.

Talking to press persons he accused the Chief Minister of belittling the constitutional bodies. If KCR has any respect to court he should step down Narayana said.

He said that in Andhra Pradesh state a few decades ago, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy resigned as the Chief Minister 30 minutes after a court verdict against his decision to privatize buses. KCR should mind this and call RTC unions for talks he said. He found fault with government for pressing in Chief Secretary, Secretary and IAS officials in the court on RTC row. People may revolt on the government for failing to end RTC workers strike.

KCR may lose his post and not IAS officials he added. (Maxim News)
