KCR To Lay Stone For New Secretariat, Assembly Complex On June 27

Hyderabad, June 24 (Maxim News): In the wake of denial from the Centre to allocate Bison Polo Ground, the Telangana Government was getting ready to build its new sprawling Secretariat at the existing place. For this, it will spend some Rs 400 crore and will take up foundation laying works on June 27. The related works of ground breaking will be taken up at Helipad Ground near Telangana Secretariat main gate.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will take up ground breaking works at Helipad grounds on NTR Marg Road on the Secretariat premises and also at Erram Manzil near Punjagutta for building new Legislature complex. KCR, who believes strongly in Astrology and Vasthu has affirmed that he will construct a new Secretariat and Assembly buildings complex at an estimated cost of Rs 400 crore and Rs 100 crore respectively. Auspicious time on next Thursday was decided for foundation laying works.

Amid criticism and allegations of wasting people’s money, the KCR Government has taken a call on this crucial project. The officials are involved in the related works as the Chief Minister is ought to finalize the designs for both of the projects.

It may be mentioned here Governor ESL Narasimhan issued orders followed by AP Chief Minister Jagan’s green signal to his officials to shift the materials from five blocks on the old Secretariat premises. It was now being said that all the nine blocks in the Secretariat will be demolished at one go and not in phases. The offices in it will be shifted to BRKR buildings and elsewhere, it is learnt.(Maxim News)
