Hyderabad, May 31: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) alleged that there is a risk of BRS supporters’ votes being removed during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana and called on party workers to remain vigilant throughout the process.
Addressing a meeting of key BRS workers in Musheerabad, KTR conducted an awareness session on the SIR exercise and interacted with booth-level assistants appointed by the party.
KTR Raises Concerns Over SIR Process
KTR urged party cadres to closely monitor voter registration activities and ensure that booth-level assistants nominated by the party remain active during the revision process.
He alleged that there was a possibility of irregularities in voter registration and warned party workers to stay alert against any attempts to add duplicate or fraudulent votes. He said BRS leaders and workers should carefully monitor developments related to the electoral roll revision.
KTR also announced that the party would launch a digital membership drive from next month. He said booth-level training programmes would be conducted to educate party workers on membership registration and public outreach activities.
Targeting the Congress government, KTR accused it of failing to fulfil promises made to unemployed youth during the Assembly election campaign. He claimed that commitments related to employment and a job calendar had not been implemented.
The BRS leader alleged that jobs filled by the present government were part of recruitment processes initiated during the previous BRS administration. He said the Congress government should be held accountable for its promises to job seekers.
KTR also expressed confidence about the party’s prospects in Hyderabad and said BRS had retained strong support in the city despite losing power in the state.
Criticising the state government, he alleged that no major development initiatives had been undertaken in Hyderabad over the last two and a half years. He contrasted this with infrastructure projects executed during the previous BRS government, including flyovers, housing projects and road development works.
The meeting was attended by party leaders, workers and booth-level representatives from the Musheerabad constituency.
