KTR Criticised Congress For Abandoning Welfare Schemes And All Six Guarantees

Hyderabad, Nov 7 (Maxim News): BRS Working President KT Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on the Congress government, accusing it of failing Telangana on multiple fronts, he criticized the Congress for abandoning welfare schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and Rythu Bhima leaving the beneficiaries in distress and the six promises were given to the people during the Assembly elections-2023.

In a series of pointed remarks on X, he highlighted the plight of farmers, students, and the poor under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership described the government as ineffective and corrupt.  He declared that the people of Telangana would soon reject Congress, ending their misrule.

He condemned the government’s failure to address the ongoing food poisoning incidents in Gurukul and Ashram schools, questioning its commitment to student welfare. “What is the government doing despite repeated incidents of food poisoning? Revanth Reddy remains blind to students’ suffering, he charged.

The BRS working president also lambasted the Congress over its handling of agricultural issues, stating that paddy procurement centers exist only in name, “Farmers are left at the mercy of middlemen, with no support price for their crops. Extortion has become the norm in market yards,” he said. Slamming the government for not ensuring Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for key crops like paddy and cotton.

On urban and rural governance, he stated that Congress has reversed the progress made under BRS initiatives like Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi. “Villages and cities that flourished are now deteriorating.  The Congress government has plunged Telangana into chaos, he said.

KTR lashed out at Revanth Reddy for awarding the Rs. 4,350 crore Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project to companies linked to his allies, including Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIOL) and Raghava Constructions, despite demands for blacklisting over previous project failures.  “Is this blatant favoritism the Congress’s version of governance?” he asked, demanding accountability and preventing loot of public money.  (Maxim News)
