KTR, Satyavathi distribute handloom sarees to Anganwadi staff

Hyderabad, Jan.6 (Maxim News): Minister KTR today distributed handloom saries to the Anganwadi and Aasha workers in the state. At Pragathi Bhavan with Tribal welfare minister Satyavathi Rathod, KT Rama Rao distributed the saries to the Anganwadi staff. He also launched a jute bag manufactured by transgenders. The government took this decision after hiking salaries thrice and giving 30 percent PRC for them.

The state government will offer handloom saries to all the Anganwadi staff including Teachers and Aayas in Telangana. There are 67411 Anganwadi teachers and Aayas working in these centers in the state. Now with the government decision all the workers will get the same saries. As part of promotion of handloom saries in the state and to provide more work to the handloom workers the Government took a decision to give handloom saries to the Anganwadi workers and Aayas.

Already the government offers two saries to the Anganwadi staff and will now get one more sarie. There are 31711 main Anganwadi centers and 3989 mini Anganwadi centers in the state and staff get honorarium. (Maxim News)
