Lok Sabha Debate Sees Clash Over Muslim Reservation Remarks

Hyderabad, April 16: Lok Sabha witnessed a sharp exchange as Akhilesh Yadav and Amit Shah clashed over reservation and census issues on April 16, 2026.

The debate took place during discussions on the Delimitation and Women’s Reservation Bills. Akhilesh Yadav questioned the timing of the bills. He said the census should be conducted first before implementing reservation.

He stated that his party supports women’s reservation. However, he opposed linking it with delimitation. He also raised concerns over the caste census and alleged that the process was being delayed.
