Hyderabad, April 20: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that Trinamool Congress workers may face arrests ahead of the Assembly elections.
Addressing a rally in Birbhum, she alleged that selective action was being planned against party workers before polling.

Banerjee said she had information about a list targeting Trinamool Congress workers. She asserted that her party would resist any such move.
She also criticised the Election Commission of India, alleging bias. Earlier, her party had approached the Calcutta High Court over possible arrests.
The Chief Minister further accused central agencies of attempting to disrupt her party’s campaign operations. She claimed efforts were being made to weaken political strategy mechanisms.
Additionally, Banerjee raised concerns over the role of central forces during elections. She alleged possible irregularities and urged party workers to remain vigilant during counting.
The remarks come ahead of the two phase Assembly elections in West Bengal scheduled later this month.
