Mancherial Assistant Commissioner of Police Ch Laxminarayana was attached to the office of the Director General Police (DGP) for allegedly issuing a pass to a person allowing him to travel Hyderabad, abusing his official position. An order to this effect was issued on Thursday. A car of the person was also seized.
According to the order, Laxminarayana got the punishment for giving the pass to one of his friends who in turn visited Hyderabad, flouting norms of the ongoing lockdown. His act was exposed when a person approached Rachakonda DCP Mahesh Bhagavath seeking a pass on the lines of the friend of ACP. It is learned that Mahesh was surprised and shared the information to higher officials.
