Hyderabad, April 15: A key development emerged in the micro finance case linked to singer Mangli, as main accused Madhu turned approver. He clarified that Mangli has no connection with the case.
Speaking to the media, Madhu alleged that Hemanth Reddy cheated him. He claimed that around ₹20 crore invested in the company was misappropriated. Moreover, he stated that advocate Subbarao and Hemanth Reddy are close associates.
Therefore, Madhu’s statement shifts focus onto other individuals in the case. Investigators are likely to examine these claims further.
Mangli Denies Role, Expresses Emotional Distress
Meanwhile, Mangli strongly denied any involvement in the case. She said media reports have wrongly linked her name to the issue.
She became emotional while addressing the media. She said her family felt deeply hurt after seeing her photos in news coverage. Moreover, she urged media outlets not to use her images in connection with the case.
Mangli also said that some people misused her name to collect money. She added that cases have already been filed against those individuals. Therefore, she assured support to victims who were cheated.
She questioned the spread of false information despite lack of evidence. In addition, she said such reports have caused distress to her family.
Mangli stated that authorities can take action if any proof exists against her. However, she maintained that she has done nothing wrong.
The case continues to draw attention as police probe financial irregularities. Further investigation will determine the role of all accused persons.
