MANUU organizes National online essay writing competition on Maulana Azad

Hyderabad, Nov. 12: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) organized an online national essay writing competition in connection with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s birth anniversary celebrated yesterday as National Education Day. The theme was “Political and Social Thoughts of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad”.

Overall 640 students, 299 male and 341 female participated in the competition. Out of them, 347 students of undergraduate level, 137 post graduate and 32 were research scholars. It included 60 PWD students.

According to Dr. Md. Athar Hussain, Assistant Professor & coordinator of the programme, the competition was held in three languages i.e. Hindi, English and Urdu. Most of them (336) opted to write in Urdu, whereas the number of participants in English and Hindi were 207 and 97 respectively. The top three students from each language has been selected as winners.

In Urdu language, Abu Sufian (Nadwat-ul-Uloom), Asma (P.hD in Education, MANUU) and Muhammad Shefullah (Shadab College of Dangarpura) secured first, second and third positions respectively. In English language, Bushra Fatima (B.Ed, MANUU) secured first position, while Abhishek Chaudhary, (SS Jain Subodh PG College, Jaipur) and Muhammad Samatullah Ansari, (Annamalai University) secured second and third positions respectively. Shazia Fatmi (D.El.Ed, Manuu) secured first position in Hindi language, while a BA student, Fiza Anjum (FAAG PG College) and Muhammad Nafees Alam (MBA, MANUU) secured second and third positions respectively.

Dr. Md. Athar Hussain while announcing the winners in a meeting held yesterday threw light on the thoughts of the great freedom fighter and the country’s first education minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

The Industrial Training Institute (Hyderabad) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University organized certificate distribution ceremony on 9th November, 2021 for passed out students of 2018-20 batch.

The chief guest, Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Registrar I/c, MANUU while congratulating the passed out students, advised them to continue their higher studies. Students should be proud of themselves for the skill they possess, he said.

Dr. Arshia Azam, Principal ITI presented a brief report and appreciated the efforts of Instructors and students for their hard work during pandemic.

Mr. Mohammed Ameer, Training Officer and Mr. Abdul Quadeer, Instructor Electrician spoke about examination pattern and presented result report. Mrs Asma Mohammadi Instructor R&AC hosted the ceremony and Mr Asim Ahmed Khan presented vote of thanks. ITI Staff and students attended the ceremony. (Maxim News)
