Hyderabad: Koppert Sustainable Solutions India Limited has inaugurated one of the world’s largest single site Mycorrhiza production facilities in the city. The launch reflects rising demand for sustainable farming solutions in India and other key markets. The facility belongs to KoSSIL, a member of the Netherlands based Reka BV Group. The company announced the development in a press note issued in Hyderabad on February 4, 2026.

Aron Oosthoek, Managing Director of Reka Group, inaugurated the Mycorrhiza facility. Delegates from Europe and South America, along with leading Indian agrochemical companies, attended the inaugural function. Speaking at the event, Oosthoek described Mycorrhiza as a strong example of nature’s symbiotic relationships. He stressed the role of biological solutions in improving farming outcomes. Therefore, the company sees this facility as a response to global demand for sustainable agriculture.

“Through KoSSIL, our joint venture with Agrilife, we aim to tackle global soil health challenges—starting with Mycorrhiza and expanding to a full range of microbial consortium products,” said Oosthoek. His remarks highlighted the broader vision behind the Mycorrhiza facility. Meanwhile, the joint venture seeks to strengthen soil health through science led biological products.

Dr. Venkatesh Devanur, Managing Director of Agrilife, highlighted the Indian origin of the innovation. “Over 10 years of research and development—from strain isolation to commercial-scale production—have been invested entirely in India,” he said. He noted that the work reflects sustained efforts in agri biotech research. Therefore, the Mycorrhiza facility stands as a result of long term local development.

The launch also aligns with the recent EU India Trade Agreement, referred to as the “Mother of All Deals.” According to the company, the facility meets strict European standards. Koppert Sustainable Solutions India Limited, known as Kossil, operates as a joint venture between Reka BV Group and Agrilife. The company focuses on biological solutions for sustainable agriculture.
