National Panchayat Awards 2025 To Be Conferred In New Delhi

New Delhi, June 3: Union Minister for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Rajiv Ranjan Singh will confer the National Panchayat Awards 2025 on 42 outstanding Panchayats from across the country at a ceremony in New Delhi on June 3.

Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj S. P. Singh Baghel, senior government officials, and elected representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions from various states and Union Territories will attend the event.

According to the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, 34 Gram Panchayats will receive awards under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar category. Another eight Panchayats will be honoured under the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar category.

The awards recognise excellence in local governance, sustainable development, and effective implementation of Panchayati Raj initiatives.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented National Panchayat Awards 2025 under three special categories on April 24, 2025. The upcoming ceremony will cover the remaining award categories.

During the programme, the Ministry will also release an eBook highlighting the achievements and best practices of the award winning Panchayats. A compendium documenting successful initiatives in strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions across the country will also be unveiled.

Ahead of the award presentation, representatives of the selected Panchayats will share their experiences and achievements in two dedicated sessions. The presentations will focus on innovative governance models, community participation, and development initiatives implemented at the grassroots level.

The National Panchayat Awards aim to encourage excellence in local self governance and promote sustainable rural development across India.
