Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao declared that the next goal of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) was to eliminate poverty from the State. “Our target in the next term is to make poverty disappear from all sections of the society,” he said.
Addressing TRS workers in Erravelli village in Gajwel constituency, the Chief Minister said “Telangana achieved a growth rate of 17.17 per cent. Many States in the country have not even reached half this number. But this did not come easy. We worked hard round the clock, tightened our belts and eliminated corruption. If we spend another Rs 70,000 crore, we will irrigate one crore acres in Telangana,” he said.
