No Real Violence In Bangladesh: Yunus Makes Serious Allegations Against India

Dhaka/Internet/Hyderabad, Oct 12 (Maxim News): Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus has made serious allegations against India. He alleged that there is no violence against Hindus in his country, but India is spreading false news to the contrary. Muhammad Yunus has dismissed several International reports of religious violence against Hindus after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government last year. He said that they are fake news published by India.

In a recent interaction with a US journalist, Muhammad Yunus said that there are normal clashes with neighbors over land division and other local issues, but these should not be portrayed in religious terms.

He said that India has always been pressuring fake news, which is why his government is very vigilant about it. He said that soon after Hasina was ousted, reports of religious incidents in his country became headlines around the world. He recalled that US President Donald Trump had also criticized the Yunus government’s treatment of Hindus as barbaric.

Last November, about 30,000 Hindus took to the streets of Dhaka to demand protection from attacks by the Yunus government. They also demanded that sedition charges against Hindu leaders be dropped. On the other hand, the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das has sparked outrage among many Indians. Yunus, meanwhile, appealed to Hindus in Bangladesh to consider themselves not Hindus but citizens of Bangladesh. (Maxim News)
