Hyderabad, Oct 16 (Maxim News): AICC State Affairs In-charge Meenakshi Natarajan spoke to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha on the phone and advised restraint in the wake of fast-moving developments around the minister’s office and family.
She told Konda Surekha “Don’t go ahead of the media..” and asked her “not to go to the media,” while seeking a direct conversation to resolve the matter.
It is reported that Meenakshi Natarajan asked her to “sit down and talk,” indicating an attempt to de-escalate tensions.
The call follows the recent removal of Minister Konda Surekha’s OSD Sumanth from his duties.
It is reported that the government decided to take strict action after it came to notice that he allegedly threatened owners of cement companies in the joint Nalgonda district.
Therefore, enforcement and administrative steps appear to have gathered pace as the matter drew wider attention.
In the wake of these developments, police went to Konda Surekha’s residence in Hyderabad.
The police in mufti reached the house after receiving information that her former OSD Sumanth was present there.
Meanwhile, this visit added a new layer to the unfolding episode, as officials sought to verify the information and proceed as per procedure.
The minister’s daughter Sushmita questioned the officers at the residence.
Speaking to the media, she alleged that Congress party leaders are doing all this “to smear them.” She also said that conspiracies are being hatched targeting her parents.
Her remarks placed the episode in a political frame and raised questions about motive and timing.
It is known that Meenakshi Natarajan spoke to Konda Surekha in the wake of these developments. She said that they should try to resolve this matter.
The emphasis on direct talks suggests the party wants to handle the issue internally and lower the temperature.
